Rebuilding Rockets nearing franchise record for losing streak after defeat in Boston

On Monday night (Nov. 22 ET), the Rockets recorded an 18-man defeat for the Celtics in Boston.

The small rebuilding team did a competitive bout in the first half with a 15-game change and seven ropes before the break. In the second half, however, the hosts left by releasing Rockets 34-16 in the third round.

Boston, on the other hand, led by 29 points, with a third-place win and All-Star Jaylen Brown in this victory.

For Houston, only two players scored double the lead under Armoni Brooks ’17 guard while the starters only added 35 points in a 13-40 shot plus 2-of-17 from over the arc.

“It’s difficult for us as a team … especially after 15 in a row,” Rockets senior Daniel Daniel Theis said. “Now everyone is like a hole in the ground. Confidence is down. We have to believe and fight, even if it doesn’t go the way we want. We have to fight.”

The Rockets’ defeat was 15 straight, not far from a record of consecutive loss points.

What is the history of the Rocket franchise losing competition?

You no longer need to go back too far to remember the team’s remote loss.

Last season, and under current head coach Stephen Silas, the Rockets lost 20 straight in mid-Feb. 6, 2021 and March 20, 2021.

A 20-game losing streak is the sixth longest between losing a series in a single NBA season.

When did the 2021-22 Rockets record their last win?

Houston have not won a game since winning 122-106 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 22, which was within the opening week of 2021-22.

This was the team’s second game this season.

Although the team lost 15 games straight with a score of 13.7 points including three defeats by 26 points or more, the small team fought hard and came close to scoring impressive victories in Los Angeles (Nov. 2) and Denver (Nov. 6) .

Rockets are coming

The team’s 1-16 record is the worst in the league, but they have another chance to end their defeat and make sure they don’t build or break their record.

After playing the Bulls and Hornets at home, Houston face 6-11 OKC Thunder twice, 4-14 Orlando Magic and 3-16 New Orleans Pelicans (Nov. 22).
