Darren Waller injury update: Raiders TE suffers apparent knee injury vs. Cowboys

The Raiders are looking to upset the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, but they may need to do so without Darren Waller.

Waller, Las Vegas’ final, was injured when caught in the middle of the field. He left his defender and ran to the field to gain 21 yards, but Cowboys defender Jayron Kearse surrounded him from behind.

Waller was later able to leave the field under his control. However, he did not return to the field for the entire trip, even as the Shooters entered the red zone.

The Raiders legally made him a suspicious Waller return due to a knee injury. Before he left, he scored two yards for 33 yards per team – five good. The Raiders led 14-6 in injury time.

Foster Moreau will operate as Las Vegas’ No. 1 solid end if Waller can not return to action. Moreau, who was previously selected by the Raiders from LSU in 2019, grabbed 11 of 132 yards and three touchdowns that went into the Thanksgiving Day game. His best game of the year had captured six, 60-yards outside the Eagles in Week 7; Waller missed the game due to a boat injury.

In addition to Moreau, three-year-old Daniel Helm and untrained rookie Matt Bushman can see a lot more. Helm was supervised by Derek Carr in the red area where Waller was injured. The two were unable to connect, as Helm seemed to be abandoning his approach while Carr demanded that the backup resumes continue.
