When the bills go to pick up the Saints in an undisclosed game Thursday night to complete the NFL Thanksgiving action (8:20 pm ET, NBC), it will be close to two disappearing teams trying to get back on track.
Buffalo (6-4) dropped to 7th in the AFC playoffs. New Orleans (5-5) also dropped to the bottom of the NFC game series. Without a tie, one group slips off while the other emerges from the mat.
The bills went down in anger with Josh Allen and last week their strong defense was shattered by Jonathan Taylor and Colts. The Saints are struggling to be identified with Trevor Siemian starting at QB and running back Alvin Kamara (knee), their dangerous weapon, missing time. Their strong defense was also burned at Week 11, by Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.
Will the Bills be caught looking forward to the Patriots? Or will the Saints focus more on the Cowboys shooting next week?
Here’s what you need to know about betting on Bills vs. Saints in Week 12, including updated, current events and our predictions for the 2021 NFL thanksgiving game.
Bills vs. Saints odds on NFL Thanksgiving
- Publication: Bill is 6
- Below: 45.5
- Moneyine: Money -270, White +220
The bills go to New Orleans as close friends even though they fell hard for the Colts at home and walked away for a short week. The Saints, however, have lost three consecutive games to the Falcons, Titans and Eagles. The number is close by, as well as the number given to the standard self-defense of both groups.

Bills vs. Saints all the time
The teams met only 11 times, with the Saints going 7-4 in the series. From 2001 to ’17, the Saints won five consecutive games to turn interest rates into dominance. The bills were finally won in New Orleans in December 1998.
Three Ways to Know
-67 percent of bettors expect the Saints to work hard at night at home and keep the game close to six points, denying the bills to block the road.
-81 percent of overweight / low-income gamblers think the total amount is too high and goes with less than how Bills and Saints struggled with guilt and faced better security.
-Bills are 5-4-1 against spread with their straight record of 6-4. It’s all gone through in half of their game. The Saints have 5-5 ATS to match their record, but have all gone through their six games.
Three things to look for
Will there ever be Taysom Hill?
The Saints have just formed an alliance with Hill to promote him as a special jack in all of Sean Payton’s frustrating commercials or their direct return soon. Hill has been in pain, first with a concussion and more than a foot injury. But he is healthy now and Siemian (right hand) is playing alone. With Kamara and Mark Ingram (knee) injured, New Orleans need to throw the Hill wrinkles in defense of the Bills.
Stefano Diggs against the Saints
He burned the “Minneapolis miracle” while playing for the Vikings. Also, in two regular games against the Saints, Diggs has scored 17 of 19 goals including 212 yards and 3 TDs. In his last two Bills games, Diggs has grabbed 12 of 19 19-yard touchdowns and 3 TDs. Saints have Marshon Lattimore, but they can tear apart. Marcus Williams ‘defense will never forget the Diggs’ passing in the playoffs.
Bills drive security
There is no Taylor type in this game with Kamara on the shelf. Bills still have 9th defense in the NFL even though Taylor forced them to submit last week. When he locks the Saints behind a weak line missing Terron Armstead, Andrus Peat and Ryan Ramczyk, he should win easily.
Know that it is important
181.8. That’s the number of yards per game the average Bills offer this season, second to the Panthers. Saints, meanwhile, are no. 22 leaving approximately 252.2 across yards per game. Allen should be comfortable with the fun approach. Siemian, just before wasting his playing time at Hill, has faced a number of setbacks at home after scoring six against the Eagles.
Mabilu vs. Prophecies of the Saints
Bill is a very talented and cohesive team of coach Sean McDermott. He’s at its peak and Allen needs to change defense and limit himself in passing games. But Diggs and security can spend a lot of money just to keep the business afloat and avoid falling into the trap.
Bills 27, Holy 17
